| Dear colleagues, On the 15th of July 2006, in the city of Copenhagen, professor Henrik Zahle (born 1943), a long time member of Dansk Retspolitisk Forening, the Danish Association of Philosophy of Law and Sociology of Law passed away far too early after a short period of severe illness. Henrik Zahle was a highly estimated professor and colleague. His work covered a wide field from theory of evidence, constitutional law and legal philosophy, and his work capacity was legendary. His writing on legal polycentricity has been very influential in the Nordic legal philosophical environment as well as internationally. His practical legal philosophy with a biographical and phenomenological perspective may renew legal philosophy in the Nordic countries. He was one of the most open minded and influential Nordic law professors of the last decades, and his contributions to the legal debates will be missed. Dansk Retspolitisk Forening wants to pay homage to Professor Henrik Zahle. Peter Høilund & Hanne Petersen, IVR Danish National Section President and Vicepresident |
